Where is this ?
This is the Badger Gas and Steam Show in Baraboo WI. The 76 and S&H green stamp signs in the first picture was added this year.
The far left visible gas pump is going to be restored before next year's show.
The third picture displays signs from an individual who allows the club to show his signs. In the lower left corner you can see some of the larger oil cans.
The fourth picture are mostly medium oil cans.
There are many other items in the gas station. Small oil cans, car engine test machines, maps, a mannequin dressed as a gas station attendant, spark plug displays, oil pumps (the old ones to get a quart or so to put in your car), and many other items in the display cabinets.
The show had about 15-20 steam engine tractors, around 500 tractors, more than 500 hit and miss engines, a "big boy sandbox" (an area as long as a football field and twice as wide where caterpillars, graders, backhoes, and steam shovels play), threshers, rock crushers, tools of all kinds most related to tractors but not all, so many other things. Oh did I mention more than an acre of flea market.
Well, I don't believe "WI" stands for West Indies, so guess I'll have to pass in this lifetime ! Sounds like a great one to see ! Feel free to share more pix. Thanks.
Sorry blunderbuss2 I have a small focus and forget this is world wide. So WI is for Wisconsin USA. Thanks for keeping me in the game.
