This is a very pretty Pueblo olla from Acoma. Does anyone recognize the J.G. from Acoma? there is a price written on the bottom of $65 in pencil. i got it at Urban Ore in Berkeley.

Which it was mine! What a find. I have visited Acoma Pueblo and love their work! There is nothing else like it. Here's a link for you in your search:

The potter may be Jessie Garcia. She is from Acoma and I have seen pictures of pottery she has done that looks similar to the olla you have.

This is gorgeous! If I'm right, you'll need to check that price for today's market. I believe it's a lot higher than that!

i think Jessie had other people sign her pots for her, because i saw several signatures and each one was very different from the other. the work does look like her work though. wow! her pots are very expensive today!
