Very old and very used hand carved wooden door knocker. Measures ~ 7" x 7" x 5". I have no knowledge of where it came from, my deceased brother traveled all over the world and collected local items. If you know anything about this please feel free to email me at bob@wiltermood.com.

Why do you say it's a door knocker? It looks like a Tibetan ox or buffalo bell. Suspended under the neck it would exhibit the same wear pattern after long use. Does it have something inside that makes a vaguely musical "thock" when you shake it?

UncleRon: No it has nothing inside, plus there is no sign of where it would attach or no sign of wear inside. It does have a nice thud sound. There was a small note on it my brother said door knocker. Thanks for the suggestion, it was a good one.

bobby725: OMG, thank you so very much, that's what it is. It makes sense since my brother stayed in India and Nepal quite often. Again thanks!
