Found these two guys in a junk shop recently and had to buy them. Not cheap but they look old. Thought that they may have been on a gate post from the way the bottoms look. Hindu or Buddhism idol? Brass ? 11 inches tall with lots of patina. Thank for looking and sharing!

I don't have any brass that colour, could it be bronze? Someone should be telling you that. I am not a expert but I do not think brass turns that colour.

Steptoe1 - I have numerous bronze objects. Taking into account that the color in the photos is the true color of the objects: bronze doesn't turn gray.

" Sculptures made of spelter, or pot metal, will be fairly light weight and appear grey in color."

Garuda - golden-winged eagle of wisdom and enemy of the Nagas (serpents). The Etruscan God Typhon is similar because the Yazidis of Iraq are descended from ancient Hindus.

Steptoe, Efesgirl, And Celiene, Thanks so much for great comments. I love the insight I get from the members :) I starting to think they may originate from Cambodia.
