Small heavy egg, japanese hand painted

Hello, I recently bought a beautiful small egg, heavy with no holes, so it would not be made out of porcelaine, maybe ivory, not too sure. Beautiful scene with japanese woman playing a shamisen. Question does anyone have any idea what the egg is made of .
