I found this in a box of of tools. Any ideas on what it is and used for.
It has an overall length of 3-11/32 inches (85.23 mm).
The bone (?) Plastic (?) handle is 7/32" thick & 1-37/64" long.
The widest part of the metal oval loop is 11/64" (inside).
Metal is 3/64" (1.43 mm) thick.
No markings anywhere.

this is a type of shoe or glove buttoning hook.
Thank you Ron, I didn't even think along that direction, but I tried it on an old pair of baby shoes I have and could see how it works. Will post photo of baby shoes above.
