I don't believe my nana used these to get Hens to lay eggs

It is made of porcelain & in Japan as the writing shows but I am not sure when this could have been made...

My granddad travelled all over the world & brought nana all kinds of weird things...

I'm wondering if anyone knows any more about this Laying Egg

    Thanks

Made after 1945. Meant for decoration. :-)))) The hole is there to prevent damage to the egg while in the kiln.
