I found this at a yard sale. I'd never seen one before. This one gallon bottle held coke syrup. The syrup was shipped out to pharmacies and bottlers be mixed and carbonated. The cap is missing and the perforated serial number has torn off, but I liked the label enough to buy it. What little information I could find on it points to the late 40's and/or 50's.
The significant markings are "ONE GALLON" at the base of the neck, "Duraglas" in cursive at the bottom, and two rows of charcters underneath the bottle. The first row is the number 10 followed by a capital I with a circle around it, and then the number 9. The second row consists only of the number 5.

Hey, I've got a coca-cola syrup jug just like this one. Except mine has the full label, its full and it has the lid, and the seal isn't completely broken. I can't find out the date on it or how much it would be worth? Does anyone know?
