Antique sideboard with amazing details. Any information on this piece?

Beautiful piece with a ton of detailed carvings. Very old hinges and doors having key holes that are functionable. Some carvings that may not be visible includes a ship in the circles on outside dkoes. Their is a solider type figure carved on both side with a sword and head armour. This piece looks as if it were placed in a government or someone of authority, military or political home because of the details. Curious to find out information on this!
