I found these at my favorite junk shop the other day. i think that they are antique factory molds. The largest has a diameter of 5 ft, and the other is pretty close to that. we're sanding them, and then i'm going to paint them w/ exterior pain - red on the outside and yellow on the inside. i'm going to install them as an entrance and exit to a children's play garden i'm building in Alameda.
not sure where i would put factory molds...

These are very cool! Not sure what type of mold these are, but very cool!
thanks jscotto and Oroyoroy!! i definitely need to paint them - to preserve them outdoors as well as to make them safe for kids to play on. what do you think - fire engine red w/ the inner circle bright yellow?
How about making them look like the kids are entering & exiting eye glasses ? Hey, it's getting late !
i want them to feel really magical so the kids believe that they are entering a really special place - or a place where the rules change a bit.
