I bought this clock intending to remove the movement and use in in another clock when I ordered it, based on the picture of it I saw. When it arrived, I changed my mind it was in really great shape for it's age. It has an eight day movement that purrs like a kitten.
When I looked at the back there was a presentation plate underneath the movement door. The plate reads:
"Weihnachten im Jubilaums-Jahr 1930, Eugen Bauer G. m.b.H. Stuttgart Unterturkheim 1905 - 1930."
(Christmas Jubilee 1930, Eugen Bauer GmbH (means Limited Company) Stuttgart Unterturkheim (a burb of Stuttgart) 1905 - 1930)
I would assume this is their 25th Jubilee, however I don't know if Eugen Bauer was persented with this clock, or was giving them out. I assume the latter.
I Googled Eugen Bauer and found out that he was instrumental in creating the home movie camera.
I love the clock and it is going for a complete restoration.
