Honestly, I'm not positive what this is! That's because the very top rose screws off, but you can't "push to spray" and the whole top screws off also, to refill it. The rim on the bottle is a gold colored metal, I suppose so the glass wouldn't chip over time.

Was this used as an air freshener type bottle where the scent was released through the rose petals? I also wonder if they are Bakelite? I do think they are but not positive. It's pretty heavy too and what's left of the foil sticker on the bottom may have some letters left but I can't decipher what they say or said.

I purchased it hoping someone here would possibly know what it is and who the maker is. It's pretty unique to me and in great condition. All the petals are there, which in itself is amazing as I think this is pretty old.

Does anyone know about this? Another love to know!

    Thanks all.

It is a pretty bottle Share! By your description about the roses possibly being bakelite, I'm assuming they're not made of glass. This gives me pause as to whether it would be Italian or not. If it were Murano, the flowers would have been made of glass, so I'm not too sure about that attribution. Can you make out any of the letters on the label?
    9. shareurpassion shareurpassion, 8 years ago
Rick, thanks for asking...and reminding ;) I'm going to go do that right now. I'll let you know for sure, or at least what I think anyway. Perfect time to look over those flowers too! Be back!

Wow, now that I'm completely dizzy...I'm going to have to say no...I'd just be guessing so I wouldn't be sure it what I'm seeing is actual or what I want it to say although, it does look like it may say "IN IT__Y" & there seems to be a K? on the other side but it's pretty wiped out. And the top for sure is not glass so I do agree, not Murano that I would know of, not being glass. I will try and get better photos up. Those are so bad.

Beautiful bottle!!! Look up IRICE perfume bottles. The top of your bottle is similar to many products from that company. And IRICE bottles were made in many countries, so often the label said: made in japan, made in Italy, made in etc. Plus the label has same shape like a round Irice label.

Martika! You got it...I just came back to this one because I found a very similar one by IRICE so I was going to make the note and mark as Solved! And here you already gave me heads up. I thought IRICE was only from Japan, but I was wrong. All in all, that's a good thing, otherwise we may not all be here on CW trying to figure things out. I'm glad, this is a great place to be. Thank you so much for your input!

Rick, I believe it is! Maybe now, or soon, I can get a good pic of what I think may have been a bubble on the inside while being made. It burst and looks like crushed ice, it's about 1/8", i'd like your opinion on it when I do get it...thanks!
    16. shareurpassion shareurpassion, 8 years ago
Martika, I forgot to mention something about that label...I thought it looked familiar too. Like a flowered or ruffled edge. Thanks for clarifying. Much appreciated!

So it works similar to a Victorian Vinaigrette. Normally a scented sponge is placed in a metal holder in silver or fine metal and it is has pieced top. So in Ye Olde days a person walking down the street with the smelly and odious peasantry and environment before the days of sewers would have this under there nose to stop the unpleasant smells of the city invading their refined noses!

I had a perfume bottle with an I-Rice label on it...They were an importer...?
