    I got this in a lot of buttons and not sure what it is . I think it is a. It Tom but not sure. It looks to be hand made or not made very good. Any help would be appreciated

      I don't think it's a button. I think it's a wax seal stamp that's missing it's handle. That's my guess, anyway.

      I am in the same impression as Efesgirl, actually I am very certain it is a wax seal.
      Wax seal was in use for many centuries for seal stampless letter, for make sure that no one can read the content and usual they are with the crest of the sender, that will explained the letters in the middle part in addition of the nice crown, this look like.
      I will try to find wax at any good scrapbooking store( like Michael)
      I agree this look like missing the handle part.
      How big is it.

      Seal attached to a chain, fob (the hole) not necessarily had the handle.
