    I came up with another way to display the chests that are in the Sept. 28th posting. They are rearranged and all of the lids are open which gives more definition to them. I did not have to remove any of the lid restraint chains or arms. It does require a longer table though. Have a good one…..Ted

      What a fabulous collection! I live in Quebec and I see these come up often for sale -- of course some are better than others... these are gorgeous... is there one maker that you look for the most - a 'Holy Grail' of tool chests?

      There's not any doubt that H. Gerstner & Sons chests are the most collectable. My personal opinion would be their pre-1951 O42, 11 drawer chest. Union and Pilliod are becoming quite popular also.....Ted
