Just found 5 of these at an estate sale. These are really cool. Dark amber bubbled glass. mint labels but I can not find any info on date made ( I'm guessing early 1900's) since Schmidt brewery closed. Can any one help? I need a good book with this bottle in it for history and value. Please help.

Its called a picnic bottle, and they were usually transported in lidded wood cases, with dividers. They were usually unpastuerized, and were called picnic beers because they held multiple servings, perfect for a picnic.Your bottle was made before 1951,because of the IRTP (tax statement) on the bottle.I have seen them sell from 20 to 60.00 at local shows.

Looks like about Prohibition as it's only 4% alcohol.
