This is in the Welz décor called Harlequin Honeycomb. As well as leafy feet it has rigaree around the shoulders of the vase......two clear leaves going up and two going down.

In image four the middle vase has four clear leaves going up and four going down. Vase three has only one going up and one going down so leaving space for a connecting frill? shelf? Whatever you call it this version is my favourite. Just another example of the variation on a theme that you find in Welz production of this period.

    Height 19 cm./ 7.5 inches

From what I have seen, Welz's variations are almost endless - quite different from the way other companies worked. Thanks for always pointing out the differences between your vases. Perhaps they gave their glass makers more personal expression? Or maybe they just had tremendously thick pattern books! ;)

Hi Michelle, It was probably good business to vary the rigaree on a moulded shape. It wouldn't change the total production cost but would offer choice. Add to that different spatters and plain translucent glass on a handful of shapes and you'd have quite a variety......just my take on it :)
