Pair of Different Loetz Vases (Part 1)

This is a 2 part article about a couple of Loetz Vases from my collection. They are roughly the same size and shape, but different decors. The first is an example of Loetz Creta Papillon. It stands about 4" tall and is about 2.5" in diameter. The green base glass is covered with metallic blue iridescent oil spot décor. The shape is hinting at the Art Deco era still to come though the décor dates to 1898.
