I have always thought of this as a glass dish. It has a blue/green hue to it. It has a 'suspended bubble within its interior and this rises to a dome when you look inside the bow. Does anyone have any ideas where from, made by whom please ?

When I saw the pictures, I thought it was an oil lamp (sort of a pyramid shape, with the wider part at the bottom). How small is the opening to the bubble?
Hi that's also very interesting! The hole would admit something the width of a single flower stem for example. Thank you for a very interesting observation. I've turned it 'upside down' and it looks more'comfortable' the only question now is what to do with it!
If it has a very narrow opening into the bubble, it probably is an oil lamp. If you want to use it as one, you'll need lamp oil, a wick and a wick holder (a piece that fits in the opening, usually metal or glass, to keep the wick stable when burning). You can probably use it as a small bud vase as well.

Swfinluv1 and Aura - genius! I would never have turned it the other way up but we've tried it in a makeshift way and it looks brilliant. I have another 3 of varying sizes so Christmas by lamplight! When I get the right sized wick I'll post a photo of it'in action' . Thanks so much again.
