This is my Fenton Marigold on Moonstone Holly and it is one of the Rarest pieces I have ever had and Ive had Allot of Carnival Glass!! Moonstone is itself one of the Hardest to find Base Colors in the Carnival Glass World, I personally have been searching through the Carnival glass section of Ebay thoroughly for the last 3 years and I have never seen another piece of Moonstone Carnival, The last two recorded moonstone Holly Bowls sold at live auction at $750.00 and $1100.00, so they are also considered Very Valuable! Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed viewing this Wonderful and Rare piece of Carnival! :)
Best Regards

Moonstone is certainly unusual (lovely piece of glass, by the way) and hard to find. Persian blue (iridised blue moonstone) is also hard to find. If I had to select a couple of colors that are exceptionally rare in Carnival I would be tempted to say iridised blue slag (Sorbini) and iridised caramel slag.
For information on these unusual Carnival colors and others, see here:

Thanks Glen, Moonstone reminds me of Agates (The Rock)
I agree.... Sorbini.. Ive seen pictures and it is Unearthly Beautiful.
What did you have to pay for that beauty shawn?
Well done, pleased for you!...:-)
Hello Jay Thank you for the compliment! I Paid a pretty penny for this one, according to my records the total cost with shipping came to $182.50, however considering the Unique appearance due to an over abundant amount of Moonstone, I think it was well worth the price also considering that it has been recorded by a very reliable source that in the last few years similar Holly Marigold on Moonstone bowls have sold for, 750 (2009), 1,200 (2010), 575, 1,250 (both 2012)
That being I can’t complain! And Thank you Inky! :)
