Any help identifying the purpose of this bottle including age etc would be much appreciated. There are 3 etched lines two thirds of the way down the bottle - only one of the etched lines (middle) is continuous. There is a number 12 near the base of the bottle and on the bottom - G-1776, the letter I with a circle around it and numbers 3, 7 and 1.

They were used to measure soda/cola syrup at manufacturing plants when calculating batch amounts. Some are marked which soda it was used for. I have had a coca cola and a few others. The Coca Cola's are a dark green.
