Porcelain Mermaid 6 1/2" tall dont know anything about it? It is either for hat pins or a flower vase? Very Art Nouveau.

Hi! I definitely think this is a flower frog. Are you sure she is a mermaid? Not a nymph.
TamaraB is correct. It is definitely a flower frog. You can google "ceramic flower frog" and get a lot of information. Here is an example...

Dont know if you can see but she has a fish tail. Do nympshave tails? Thanks for the comments.
lol No, wood nymphs don't have tails. It is very hard to see the tail (I think it is in the 3rd picture). You might add a 4th picture with a side view of the tail. I didn't pick the picture of a nymph to indicate that it was a nymph, I did it to show it was a frog! If you googled it you will find several other white porcelain frogs. It really is a great little piece!

Worth Point has the exact same one Im not a member so cant see what their asking? Seems like it must be maybe German? theres had three broken fingers on one hand. Mine is missing a thumb and was once broken in half and fixed. Shes stll lovley.
The one on worthpoint sold for $43, but being broken in half and repaired, yours would be worth way less.

Get a nice pale blue or lavender bowl. Put the mermaid in the middle with violets in all of the holes. Surround that with greenery and she will be priceless!
Just as an aside .... have you heard of "naiads"?
In Greek mythology, the Naiads or Naiades (??????? from the Greek ?????, "to flow," and ????, "running water") were a type of nymph who presided over fountains, wells, springs, streams, and brooks.
Perhaps your nymph is there to remind you to put water into the bowl.
Legend had it that the essence of a naiad was bound to her spring, so if a naiad's body of water dried, she died.
NB: Damselflies and mayflies have tails ..... two and three.
