I am not too sure what to make of these earrings. They look to me almost like Bohemian garnet jewelry because of the cut of the stones, the setting, and the two tier construction, but the only mark I can see is "925".
In "real life" they sparkle beautifully!
Any help would be appreciated.

I love garnets, and these earrings are beautiful. The lever back style was popular in the 1970s, perhaps into the early 1980s.
Thanks for your comment, Efesgirl. I also thought that these earrings are not very recent but not too old either. My husband bought me some jewelry in the 1980's that looks "geometric" like these earrings.

Agree 100%, TassieDevel. This is my favorite kind of backing on earrings. All of the others either hurt my ears, poke me when I sleep, or I loose them:(
