This looks like an old glass vase with an interesting mottled or striated pattern of subtle colors. I bought it at a junk shop today and the pewter cork came with it, but i don't think it's original to the piece. it looks like the vase had been painted with enamels which are faded and chipped a bit. still a pretty piece though.

Hello ho2cultcha!.. sorry can't help you but with that age wear if I am seeing right, it looks to of good age...so def not new..and agree with you don't think that cork came with it....very nice!!..:-)
