I found this for $13 last week. It's filthy...and I do mean filthy! It will take me hours to clean up! It's not marked anywhere, but I loved the setting and stone. Has a nice vein of copper in it. Measures 1.5" x 1". Any thoughts as to date?

    Thanks for looking!

Looks typical of the 1970s. Why will it take hours to clean it up?? A bit of high quality silver polish and some elbow grease should take care of it in less than 1/2 an hour.

Efesgirl LOL you have high hopes for me! I am headed to the store tomorrow so may need to invest in some silver polish. My typical MO is to use my sterling rag which requires buffing til I'm paralyzed! Thank you for the date estimate!

Hahaha! Now I understand. While you are at it, pick up some cotton buds and a bag of those round make up removal pads. They are great for applying/removing polish. You can also put polish on the tip of a toothpick to clean out any hard to reach areas on your jewelry.

Efesgirl okay I broke down and bought silver polish! Thanks for mentioning toothpicks as that is an awesome idea! This piece has many nooks and crannies so may clean the entire front with a toothpick...have lots of those!
