Solid oak rocker with two sea serpents. Hand carved, chiseled out seat.. Seat back & seat are both made from a single wide oak board. Unique construction with arm rails cut through the seat and are attached underneath. I would love any information about this rocker. I can find no one who has seen another like it.

I may have been blasted to give the wood grain a more aged look.

By mid century there were hundreds of furniture makers, even in Canada. The U.S. had hundreds also, most are extinct now, but back then it was normal to see them put there own design to many items. Less than 3 % left any record of their business, but of course for most companies if known or location is known, the best place to look would be the history room at your local library. I have found the best info, clippings, photos and writeups/ads come from there.
