1958 Thompson Fishing boat

I cant believe I just bought a boat! I found this boat on letgo last week and will be picking it up Sunday.My family all think I've gone off the deep end buying this 1958 wooden boat. I lost sleep over it when I saw it and I dont even boat I kayak and canoe! but I knew it was in great shape and well worth the $600 I paid. The owner had put new floor boards in and replaced the transom. I have learned more about boats in the last week than I've ever known in my entire life! I've been on antique boat sites and would love to be able to get it back to its original shape but my finances won't allow that. Hopefully I can refinish atleast the hull and see the beautiful wood that I know is under all that varnish! I' m quite the procrastinator but when I went to look at it something just told me to go for it so here I am shaking my head with a motorless fishing boat and trying to decide what to do! Well I have a Michigan winter coming up and it will for sure be the number one project on my to do list:)
