    Little plate i found the other day. i thought the leaves looked pretty interesting. too bad some of the enamel has worn off. otherwise it might have been a good little piece. i think of these as 'learner' pieces or teaching tools.

      there is a classical debat about this sort of pieces , it looks like run of the mill piece, but it aint this is a qianjiang piece see gilt rim

      i cant read the mark , but the period is quite clear around 1890 -1912 , small time span because of the rim (gilt the typical late quangxu bird scene

      they call this dowager pieces (they did,not knew) , you can check this on ebay sold porcelain about a week ago and the sold bottom price was i believe 130 dollar
