I purchased this beaded basket on ebay recently - as a Native American basket. it's even more beautiful in person than it was in the photos on the listing. It is made with lots of seed beads sewn onto a wooden basket which has been tied w/ some kind of raffia. i love the colors! i'm wondering whether it really is Native American and which tribe made pieces like this. regardless, i love the basket!

No idea. It has a bit of a feeling of NA but I'm thinking maybe not...I just don't know. I'll check around and see what I can come up with...will let you know if I find anything. It pretty darn awesome and I can vouch for the work it takes just to make a pair of NA beaded earrings let alone this basket! Wow!
