the gold is definitely over the glass
the teal l
"leaves" seem either within the glass or on the outside and the
dare i say mauve
appears inside the vase ot within the glass making for a very interesting layering effect
have not seen this type of design (i am a designer so I will say Sophisticated "art Deco" style - it is a hard pattern to identify as it also could be later period perhaps)
but either way non-standard patterning
