I was told that this is a Japanese Demon on the front of this lighter;) I think it is a Prince brand lighter - I'd have to squint to make sure.

I keep getting drawn in by this magnificent lighter. The devil or mephistopheles was such a big thing in France and America in the early 1920's, especially on cars and mascots, but on other things also !~
