This is a WWII German army 1st pattern Africa Corps Pith Helmet. This Pith Helmet is in very rough condition, all of the border trim on the brim is missing and the brim was broken and hanging down when I bought it and i had to repair it the best that i could. It is also missing the chin strap but it still retains all it's original insignia. It may be rough but it is still a great piece of WWII history.

For some reason, I started wanting 1 of these about a yr. ago. Fits right in with what I've said about downsizing ! LOL !! These are made from cork ?

Yes they are made of cork, that is what is broken on the brim. I used a water bottle to hold it up in my display.
