I found this at a thrift store.

Its newest patent date was from late 1906.

It is a Safeguard oil lamp minus a much smaller-diameter glass globe, for which I may struggle to find a replacement as it is so much smaller in diameter.

Badly damaged but still holds oil and has a stable top.

    Unsolved Mystery

Looks like a Riverside Glass Company lamp and it should be easy to find a replacement vintage burner and vintage chimney. I can't tell but it looks like a "2 collar. Actually dates late 1800's to possibly early 1900's. Look up Riverside Lamps online for this panelled lamp. RER

Thank you, Loumanal. So you're saying the burner is not original to the lamp?

It could very well be! When a lamp was in daily use, the burner would eventually be damaged from the heat and would be replaced. I don't know this particular burner so I can't say that it's a later replacement. Bob
