    This is the larger of the two planter boxes from Italy i found at the junkshop the other day. this one is completely covered w/ living moss - to the point where the images are pretty obscured. i planted this one out w/ a rare succulent from the Sierra.

      i just added photos of this pot planted out w/ Aspidotis densa, Dudleya cymosa, and Sedum obtusifolium.

      Guess where you live in California the temperature is moderate enough to leave your succulents and your pots outdoors all Winter?

      thanks racer and maryh! yes maryh, we haven't had a real frost in the oakland flats in around 20 years. we used to get them every winter in the 80s and early 90s, and nothing since around 1995. i don't know the exact stats, but it is pretty alarming even from a purely speculative point.
