Antique aluminum REVERE BEACH Salt and Pepper Shakers - With USA Shield in red & blue

Revere Beach is Americas Oldest Public Beach, established in 1895. These are from soon after the turn of the century, maybe around the United States involvement in WWI 1917-1918.

FROM WIKI ...
Revere Beach is a public beach in Revere, Massachusetts. Located about 4 miles north of downtown Boston, the beach, founded in 1895, is the first public beach in the country. In the past, it was known as the Coney Island of New England. More than 250,000 bathers would relax along Revere's shores on hot summer afternoons.

When I was growing up on the North Shore of Boston they were just tearing down the last of the amusements at Revere Beach. I think we went there a couple times and played arcade games. Fun to see these, thanks for sharing.

those are great and the nod to our great country can't be beat! Revere is about 1 hour from where I live and the natives call their city RaVEEa :)

Thank you. These are the best aluminum S&P that I have seen. I agree that the "nod" to the USA makes nice into great.

They may be as early as SpanAm era.

I saw a set that had Military Camp information on it. It was probably WW1, but I cannot recall completely, so it may have been a SpanAm c. 1898 piece. Patriotic aluminum souvenirs were very popular during both time periods.

    Nice Memorial Weekend post.
