My husband and I are going through boxes of his parent's assorted collections. We found some Eisenhower memorabilia--a scarf and pinbacks, and a photo of his mother (second from left) wearing the scarf. The "Hoosierettes for Ike" attended the Indiana State Fair in the summer of '52 complete with straw hats, scarves, and I LIKE IKE pinbacks. An old newspaper article was also discovered showing his parent's involvement in Ike's campaign and a personalized thank you letter with Eisenhower's signature.
