This fan is quite rare and i really would like to know more about it. I do know that it is from the 1880s in Brazil. It has a real stuffed hummingbird in the center, surrounded by a star burst of wired real beetle shells. the handle is intricately carved mother of pearl. It is in its original box too. There is one very similar to it in the Victoria & Albert museum. Any info would be greatly appreciated, including monetary value of the piece.
