I found this pot at the Flea Market this past Sunday. It's a nice piece of Southwest Pueblo Black On Black pottery by the late Denny Gutierrez. He was taught his craft from his mother, and others of the Santa Clara Pueblo.

The Black On Black Feather pot is 4 1/2" high, 5 1/2" at the widest, 2 5/8" across the top, and is 2" at the base. The color is black, but is reflecting the walls of the room. The base is scratch marked Denny over Santa over 90 over Clara, with Gutierrez under it. The 90 is for the year it was made 1990.
Denny was born in 1942 and died in 2013. He was the Governor of the Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico from 2000-2004.
