This is Violette, a wax over papier-mâché doll. She has many flaws but perhaps that's what makes her so lovable.
She came to me without clothing and with no wig. The slip in the second and third photos is from a newer Asian ball-jointed doll. I tried a couple of different wigs and hats and took the dress and hat in the last photo from another doll I have. The rabbit is old (possibly an antique) as well and was found in a local consignment shop. The cradle and quilt are vintage as is the tiny make-up mirror and rouge compact on her lap.
