I am a bit late in starting this as Captain Action began in 1966. With not much left of 2016 this series will be going into 2017.
Aside from being originally released in 1966 Captain Action has been resurrected twice without much success. Perhaps a third time will be the charm.
Photos 1 and 2 are the originals. Captain Action and Action Boy are wearing their Aqua Man and Aqua Lad "disguises" in photo two. Disguise was the term used by Ideal for the various outfits for the characters.
Photo 3 is the Playing Mantis Version from the 90s featuring the Green Hornet and Kato. They were using only outfits that did not require licensing. There were several others.
Photo for is the most recent Ed and Joe version. They got the rights to use Marvel Comics figures but have had setbacks. They are still working on it.

They are the same size but less articulation than GI Joe. Also they have molded on clothes.

Thank you very much Glassgaga. They are still affordable as you can get a complete boxed example for under $100.

Thank you very much Vincent. They were supposed to do the DC heroes and The Rocketeer before the line fizzled this time. Hopefully it will start back up.
