An old Pioneer Telephone & Telegraph pinback. One of the best in my collection. Try finding this one!
Pioneer Telephone was located in Oklahoma and was later absorbed by Southwestern Bell Telephone in the early 1920's.
This pinback is made of celluloid and is approximately 100 years old. I have only seen two others similar to it after years of collecting.

As you know, I collect telephone pins (gold and silver - sometimes with enamel). Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find telephone pins for years of service issued before 1921. I am not sure why more pins were not awarded before 1921 but it seems to be the year when the Bell System became "standardized".
So here is my question...I have seen badges, signs, directories, mirrors and invoices distributed by Pioneer Telephone...but I have never seen a pin such as a small employee pin from this company. Have you by any chance?
