My brother found these in his grandfathers old house and he gave them to me.
The battery in the second photo on the bottom it says:
FOR BEST RESULT
PUT IN SERVICE
BEFORE
OCTOBER 1942 H
Anybody know what the "H" stands for after 1942?
I think the cardboard battery is older than the other one... I'm not for sure... correct me if im wrong.

When I was a kid (100 yrs ago lol) I used to see the round end metal battery used on electric fence chargers on farms. Haven't seen one for years.
dstruble46 - Yea i was told it was used for that, if you enlarge the 2nd picture it tells you what it's used for.
