    Okay this is not mine.... i was told its used to weight mail, and the round part held a roll of stamps.

    The part that looks like an right angle and has that peace that curves.... that is where the numbers are. Its marked in ounces (oz).

      Neat thing, part of a 'Desk Set' that would have been a gift to someone.......This was not a 'official' scale...
