Hello fellow collectors!!
This is a bit of an unusual post for me. But, I have a couple of pair of vintage equestrian riding boots that I use for display with my English trunk and English top hat/leather case collection and thought I'd post them as I felt others might enjoy seeing these as well. I also have an antique leather riding crop that I display with all that I mentioned and I'll post that one of these days as well. The other pair of bespoke custom made boots, that I have in my collection, are made by John Lobb and were once owned and worn by a Countess and has her name engraved into the boot lasts. I'll post those sometime soon.
These are vintage Wm. Wright equestrian riding boots with their original maple boot lasts. They were made in Far Hills, NJ. I am told that these are from the 1920's or 1930's. The boots and wooden lasts were in need of some TLC when I got them. So, they got a serious cleaning and polishing and turned out quite nicely, or so I think. The leather soles and heels are a bit worn, but still have a tremendous amount of life left in them.
The maple boot lasts are very heavy and well made. They have the number "8" burned into the wooden lasts, which I believe are the size of these fine leather riding boots.

This is a super pair that appears to be well preserved Scott. The icing on the cake has to be finding them with the original boot lasts... congrats!

Thanks! They took quite a bit of cleaning, conditioning and polishing to make them look this good. I also had to go over the boot lasts with fine steel wool and then polish the wood. These look brand new! Beautiful. And thanks for saying the name of the boot lasts. I love this set, it looks like the boots were much easier to grab with these!

These took quite a bit of cleaning and polishing make them look this good. They are still very supple, but have that old leather smell inside. That handle actually slides out so that you can remove the remaining 3 pieces of the boot lasts. So, not a good handle to lift the boots with:)
