ROBERT EMMERSON & SONS NEWCASTLE ALL WHITE FACTORY STOUT

A very rare all white stout from Robert Emmerson & sons pictorial of the Burton Brewery at Sandyford Newcastle
established in 1869 at The Flying Horse Brewery in the Groat Market
in the mid 1870s moved to the Burton Brewery in the early 1880s Robert emmerson junior one of his sons started his own business
in 1883 Robert senior retired his sons Henry & Edward and sons took over
John another son retired in 1891
Robert the father died in 1892 at the age of 72
in 1909 became spirit merchants in 1914 Edward died 1922

they became R Emmerson & sons ltd and in 1935 Henry died
