I found these wonderful old photos of my husband’s grandparents. They both immigrated from England, Jack in 1910 and Annette a few years later. They met and married in the states. Annette was a pool shark. At the age of sixteen she was earning money for passage to the States by playing billiards in various establishments in London. The photo of Jack is also a postcard. One of his sons told me he probably sent copies to his friends and relatives back home to show off his new suit!
