    What appears to be..a small (child's size) writing desk-vanity combination (mirror missing ) ? Edwardian-Empire transitional or modified 1/2 kneehole regency with leather gold-leafed embossed recessed partial surface... may be mahogany surface but has secondary woods (yellow pine?)....?????? So light.....?? single dove-tailed joints joined...

      Possibly late 1930's, that is the time when the top back drawers were popular and into the 1940's.

      Thanks Phil, I too believe circa 1925-1935.What confuses me is the way it's constructed (large single split dove-tailed), and the weight-It's like doll furniture.
