I picked up about 10 or so of these old pages from a warehouse sale and paid next to nothing. I think these pages are probably around the 1500s age range as compared to some that I've seen Online. These pages each came in a cellophane sleeve and had the name of the store that originally sold them on the bottom. I have emailed the store in hopes of getting some info about these, but have not heard anything back yet. Does anyone know what type of book these would've come out of.?

I think these pages are reproductions.

The original manuscript was printed on parchment. Several photos are available here.

Thanks for the link, Efesgirl. I don't know if these are reproductions or not. Shortly after I had acquired them, I had contacted store and was told that they only sold originals. I have tried to contact them again as far as date range and context of pages. Well see if they email back.

Here's a similar page that was made in 1500's, a reprint of original

I would agree with you MrsTYNDALL. The original text on parchment dates to 1290, These would be pages from a reprint as you have seen on Griffins printed by Thielmann Kerverfor, Jean Petit and Jean Cabiller in Paris in 1505.

Interesting! looked at the manuscript on the link and there is a small border on the upper left of the page which does not appear on your page. Whether that is just something on that particular page (which is different from the page here) or is supposed to be on all the pages, I don't know.

I will have to look at the other pages that I have and see if any have the mark. Maybe it was their way of highlighting something :)

Efesgirl, I went and looked at the other pages and that mark is at random areas on a couple of the pages. I also have another larger unknown script. I added a couple new pics-thanks for all your help!
