This is a bit different than the usual folding camera. Instead of the front folding down the front folds out directly forward and back from the front of the camera. Plus it is has a super cool art deco design on the face of the camera.
The camera is the Kodak Jiffy Six-16 It was sold from 1933-1937. The Six-16 is the film size.
As seen in photo 2 it has second view finder for taking photos on a horizontal plane. That is the default for modern cameras. On this one it is a bit more awkward to use as the trigger is along the top.
Another nifty feature for this is the push button on the right side makes the camera pop open and ready to use. With other such cameras one would pull down the front and then pull out the bellows to use it. With this one you just push the button and it is ready to go.

This has always been an interesting line of cameras. When introduced, it was advertised as having "box-camera simplicity, supplemented by the convenience and good looks of slim, trim folding models." Strut cameras were not new but Kodak made them look good. FWIW, the Six-16 was priced at $7.50 its first year and then jumped to $9.00 the next year until it was replaced by the "Series II" version.

Thank you very much for the additional information rniederman. I can see how they made it look and handle like a box camera. I like the art deco design on this better than the leather covered face of the Series II.
