This was left behind in the carriage house basement. Its definitely old. And has some wear to it. Not sure if this would be a redo the finish piece. I love it just the way it is. But maybe it could be beautiful underneath. Its a debate I've been having with someone. Let me know what you think! Id love to hear it! Oh and the pull down desk party is velvet on the inside. Very thin and soft. Also i have the keys that go with it!

Pretty piece-make sure of value before you decide to redo! If valuable it will lessen price. I would leave if you love it as is:)
Its kinda fancy for its age and being so rough. I like it just how it is.
I hate those people that buy nice old furniture and paint it! Nothing worse than that! Its neat there are old ink spots in one of the cubby spots. Must be where they kept their ink bottle. I'll take better pictures tomorrow.
It adds to its character and history!
