Count Bassie hand written record larger size also a few 45s... I havent a clue what this is... why is it hand written?

Wax records. My dad had similar. Used a machine to record anything on the wax record, from the radio, old records, live shows etc. I have records of my dad playing in a country music band in the early 50's. Whoever recorded the records did the writing. These were popular in the 1940's and 50's.
